Personality

Personality: Tamashi is a kind and caring person, who will protect his beliefs, and others, with everything he has. He is supportive, and tries his best to be nurturing, but sometimes fails in that aspect. He is a good conversationalist, and can be, or at least tries to be, a womanizer. He is not one for solitude, or at least not for long periods of time, as he prefers to be in a crowd of people, as the sound soothes his mind.

Tamashi was born with a mind of a genius. He has been able to since his birth store vast quantities of knowledge within his mind, being born with knowledge no one should know. He rarely uses said knowledge, as he contains it within a barrier within his mind, but he does have access to it, knowing it's there and using it if needed. He adds most things he learns to this store, and never forgets anything, having an eidetic memory.

Normally a calm person Tamashi can be brash on occasion, giving in to his base impulses to do something stupid, reckless and otherwise immature, however his sister is a good counterbalance, control his stupidity impulses, and otherwise seeing to it that Tamashi does what is expected of him. Tamashi is fiercely protective of his siblings, and would do anything to keep them safe and out of harms reach. He will do almost anything that they ask of him, and he enjoys doing the menial tasks they ask him to do.

Tamashi is a goofball of a man, and usually is found slacking off his duties, rarely found actually doing his paperwork as the kage, instead relying on his sister to do it. He knows she doesn't like to do it as much as he does, but he uses it as a way to prevent her from stopping some of his funner ideas. Tamashi spends most of his time sparring with Joshua, training his younger brother to become better than Tamashi himself is. However Tamashi has the ability to be serious at times, usually during a crisis. When he becomes serious he is much calmer, and is capable of almost anything.

In battle Tamashi is a straight forward fighter, using his speed and agility to outmaneuver enemies, while employing soul techniques to supplement himself. He enjoys fighting, and will initiate conflicts over very little, though for the most part these are nothing more than small spars between friends, or a training exercise for his villagers. Tamashi is a good leader, looking out for the well being of his whole village, putting their needs above his own, and treating those below him with respect and courtesy.

Likes: Tamashi likes anything sweet, candies, cookies, etc. He is also fond of combat, however he enjoys more sparring than full out bloody conflict, preferring to spend this time teaching however he is engaging.

Pet peeves: Anyone who makes any negative comment about his siblings. Any purposeful ignorance, stereotyping, racism or sexism. He also dislikes arrogance, however he understands the concept of pride.

Strengths: Tamashi is fast and strong. He is incredibly gifted with a blade, using the long dead sword style of the first Shimakage.

Weaknesses: On the other hand Tamashi is a horrible strategist, and can be easily outmatched by someone more tactical than himself. He is also pathetic at seeing genjutsu, and is easily affected by them. He is also rather poor at focusing, sometimes randomly staring off, or losing track of an opponent in a fight.

Personal skills: Tamashi is good at music, he can play many instruments well, but he prefers the flute. He also enjoys both reading and writing literature, often spending his free time immersed in a book.
Clan Information

Clan Name: Ban'nin clan

Clan Founder: Isaiah Ban'nin

Kekkai Genkai Name: Chūjitsuna keibi-in

Kekkai Genkai: Any member of this clan can call upon The Gateway, the source of their power. Doing so they can unleash three separate abilities of the gateway. The first allows them to open the gateway, releasing souls from the gate linked directly to purgatory, where all souls wait for the Day of Judgement, also know to the clan as Hitojutsu, soul techniques. The second is that they can enter purgatory, at great risk to themselves, and travel through it, to a different destination. This takes no less time than it would in our world, and is merely used as a way to avoid other people, or unwanted obstacles. The final ability is actually a passive one, in which they can sense the souls of the living, and the purity of that soul.

Physical Traits: All clan members have shining silver/grey hair. All members are born with a small tattoo of the clan symbol somewhere on their body. At B rank all clan members souls are visible as a coloured trail of what appears as steam. This trail is harmless and substance less.

Clan Symbol:
Spoiler:

Location: Born in Purgatory, released unto the hidden Typhoon.

Clan History: The Ban'nin have existed for generations, living normal lives, seeing things that are not meant to be seen. They came to be by a single couple, who bore three children, who all had identical, and simultaneous near death experiences, where their souls left their bodies, and entered into the afterlife, or purgatory. However, unlike every other soul within that realm they were still alive, and not long after their bodies joined with them, and their chakra took on an essence from purgatory itself.

These three children spent nearly a year of their lives within the confines of the afterlife, discovering many wondrous abilities. When they returned home they were unharmed, and had not aged a day since they had left, but the powers they gained within the other plain remained with the children, and they could still access purgatory.

The Eldest of the three children, Isaiah, soon discovered a gateway to purgatory, one kept within the village hidden in the typhoon. This gateway was buried within the earth, hidden in a secret cave not far from the residential area of the village. Isaiah used this knowledge to base many jutsu techniques around, creating small portable versions of the gate, to allowing souls to exit purgatory, under the control of himself, or his siblings, in order to make them physically more powerful. They stored much of their knowledge in tomes created for their children, and sealed with a jutsu requiring a drop of Ban'nin blood to release it.

The three brothers discovered that their assumptions were correct, their children were also born with the same traits that they themselves had gained through their time spent in purgatory. The three brothers taught them how to use their powers, and slowly the clan began to grow. After a few generations of growth it was still considered to be a small clan, barely having twenty living members at one time. No member of the clan stood out, or excelled at anything, until the latest generation, and the birth of Tamashi, Elizabeth, and Joshua.

History

History: Tamashi's birth was nothing special, there were no complications. He spent a relatively small amount of time within the taifugakure hospital, before being taken home by his parents. He was the same as any other infant, he slept ate but otherwise did very little. By the time he was two though he had already held a blade in his hand, though he could not lift it.

When Tamashi was three years old his parents had another child, this time a girl. Even as a toddler Tamashi felt a bond to his younger sister, and would never leave her side as she grew. By the time she was three he had become so attached to his sister he seemed to be unable to let her out of his sight. Then one day he had an adventure.

It was a normal day, Tamashi and Elizabeth were just playing in their living room, when suddenly Tamashi felt a drain on his body, and a gate opened behind him, pulling him into purgatory. The small child wandered in circles for hours, never straying too far from where he came in, because he thought that if he did his parents wouldn't be able to find him when they came to pick him up. But eventually curiosity overtook the tike, and he began to explore. He walked past wandering spirits, who looked upon the young boy with surprise, and in one case recognition.

This one soul had seen the living in purgatory once before, when Tamashi's ancestors had also accidentally entered the spirit realm before their appointed time. He was kind to the young boy, showing him how he could leave, but Tamashi didn't want to leave. Instead he ran from the kindly spirit, running amok among the ghost of the departed, until he came across a beast.

It appeared as a cross between an ape and a cheetah, The front half of it's body was that of a large gorilla, and from it's torso down it had the sleek body of a massive cat. It roared at Tamashi, with a mixed voice, one as deformed as the body that produced it. It was angered by Tamashi's presence, and began to attempt to chase him out. Luckily for Tamashi the kind old spirit had followed the young boy, otherwise Tamashi would have joined the spirit realm forever. The man stepped in the path of the charging beast, and spoke to it, calling it guardian. The beast was calmed, and the man told Tamashi to exit the realm of the spirits, and to not return until he was older.

Tamashi fled back into the world of the living, finding himself in the middle of a building he only knew from the outside. He stood in a hallway next to the empty kage office, the office which had been empty for nearly as long as the village had existed. He sat in the hall for a while, silently crying to himself, until he realized his parents weren't there to comfort him. Wiping his tears he left the building, wandering around the island, trying to find his way home, when one of the teachers at the academy found him, and helped him find his way home.

For the next five years nothing special happened to Tamashi, except for he began to be able to control his clans abilities, slowly. As well when Tamashi turned eleven his parents once more bore a child, this time another boy, Joshua. Tamashi wasn't as attached to his newest sibling as he had been of Liz, however he was now the protective older brother, always stopping the other kids when thy picked on his sister, and showing young Joshua what he shouldn't touch, usually by touching it himself to show his brother what it did.

Then Tamashi was enrolled into the academy, and he met the teacher who had helped him all those years before, who happened to be Tamashi's teacher. Nothing really happened to Tamashi during his time in the academy, he simply passed through without much difficulty. No one was surprised, he was quite intelligent, some even called him a genius. Of course he never called himself that, nor accepted when others did.

Tamashi did what many others before him had done, at least in this village. When he became a genin he celebrated, but that celebration was short lived, considering that no one could reach a rank higher than that, simply because all of the villages shinobi scrolls were lost with the death of the last Shimakage, the Second. However, unlike those before him Tamashi wanted to find the lost scrolls, and make his village proud once more, give them back their heritage, and make them proper shinobi once more.

So off he went, knowing that the scrolls were entombed with the last kage, but not knowing where he was entombed, no one did. However Tamashi studied the mans life, down to the last detail, noticing the last battle he participated in was not because h became to old to fight, but because he died in that fight.

Tamashi went to this battleground, just on the mainland, and discovered many unnamed burial sites, and an entrance to an underground catacomb, filled to bursting with the dead. The young teenager steadied his nerves and took the plunge, delving deeper into the stench of death, searching for one man. Tamashi searched every last corpse in the tomb, but did not find the one he was looking for. Just when he had given up on his task a breeze from below him stirred his hair.

Tamashi didn't grasp the meaning of this right away, but the moment he did he practically ran at the wall, and began to examine it, noticing a crack going down the entire left side. He pressed his shoulder into the stone, and pushed with all his might, feeling the ancient stone giving way beneath him. He continued to apply pressure, until he had managed to open the hidden door.

Once beyond the barrier he saw a large cavern, lined with dead warriors, all in what seemed to be ceremonial armour, but not of any kind the genin was familiar with. In the middle of the cave on an alter lay two men, one of which Tamashi instantly recognized as the Second Shimakage, laid to rest, the scroll of the village nestled between his ribs. Clasp in his hands, laying directly over the scroll was his famous sword; Riptide, said to be impervious to the effects of nature, never dulling, never rusting. Overcome with joy Tamashi ran to the corpse, crossing the small fragile stone bridge without pause, hearing it crumble and break as he leaped from it, spanning the last of the chasm below.

When he reached the body he prayed to the soul of the man who's body he was about to desecrate, and moved his arms, clutching the scabbard of riptide in his hands, as the faded ancient leather crumbled into dust in his grip. The adventurous teen carefully wrapped the blade in some spare cloth he had brought with him, more for bandaging any potential wound. After safely securing Riptide to his person Tamashi removed the scroll from within the chest of the deceased kage, anxiously reading through it, his eyes flying over the jutsu from the ancient past. He smiled, and laughed aloud; he had done it, he had found the long lost scroll of the village, and he would return a hero.

However before he could leave a smaller scroll fell out of the first, one meant for the eyes of kages alone, and upon reading it Tamashi felt more powerful, reading through the techniques of the ancients made him feel closer to them, made him feel alive. He spent days within the cave learning as many of these jutsu as he could, and because of this he could feel himself getting stronger.

When he finished he found a new problem to deal with, the bridge needed to exit the cavern had broken on his way in, leaving him stranded on the wrong side of the cave. Tamashi knew one way out, and after a few moments, opened a gate to purgatory, which he willingly stepped through, entering into the spirit world, a place he had not tread in for many years. Looking straight forward Tamashi took about twenty steps, hoping that this would be enough to cover the distance of the gap, before returning to the living world, only to find himself a foot away from the edge.

As he began to fall the genin reached out and managed to grab onto the ledge, and pull himself out. Afterwards he left the tomb, and began the trek back to the village. Once he arrived there he was greeted at the docks by his family, who saw that he had succeeded, and rushed out to embrace him. Tamashi was led into the kage chambers by many of the teachers of the academy, all the while being cheered for bringing home the lost scroll, giving his people the chance to once again rejoin the world as proper shinobi. This set his course to him becoming the third Shimakage.

RP Sample: In the deep shadow between buildings a teenager sat. Or at least someone who looked like a teenager. A smile uplifted his hidden features, as a woman walked past the opening to the alley, unaware of the malicious intent of the seated figure.

Suddenly from a small crack in the sidewalk a tendril of muscle fibers and bone shot out, wrapping around the woman's middle, and pulling her into the darkness. Her cries of fear muffled a moment after they had begun, a hand clasping her mouth shut, but not fast enough to prevent them fully.

The male stood, his hand still on the woman's mouth, holding her two inches off of the ground. He cocked his head to one side, and licked his lips. The tongue that protruded form his mouth lengthened far beyond what a normal tongue should be able to do, nearly licking the face of the woman, held an arms length away.

After returning his tongue to his mouth Ezrion spoke. "Fear not ma'am, this won't hurt a bit." Suddenly his chest opened, and he drew the woman towards him, all the while fighting against her feeble attempts to stop him. Ezrion smiled, and finally managed to trap her within him, gaining a feeling of satisfaction. He could feel her within him, living, breathing through him.

The rush of the hunt coursing through him Ezrion jump at the building next to him, protruding his finger bones from hi hand, making them into small claws with which to scale the large building. He quickly pulled himself onto the roof, only to spot a man on the other side of the building. The parasite stopped where he was, eying the other male wearily, wondering if he had heard the woman's screams. He did not move forward, nor backward, merely waiting for the other man's move.
