Kekkai Genkai: Any member of this clan can call upon The Gateway, the source of their power. Doing so they can unleash three separate abilities of the gateway. The first allows them to open a smaller gateway, releasing souls from the gate linked directly to purgatory, where all souls wait for the Day of Judgement, also know to the clan as Hitojutsu; soul techniques. The second is that they can enter purgatory, at great risk to themselves, and travel through it, to a different destination. This takes no less time than it would in our world, and is merely used as a way to avoid other people, or unwanted obstacles. The final ability is actually a passive one, in which they can sense the souls of the living, and the purity of that soul.

Physical Traits: All clan members have shining silver/grey hair. All members are born with a small tattoo of the clan symbol somewhere on their body. At B rank all clan members souls are visible as a coloured trail of what appears as steam. This trail is harmless and substance less.

Location: Born in Purgatory, released unto the hidden Typhoon.

Clan History: The Ban'nin have existed for generations, living normal lives, seeing things that are not meant to be seen. They came to be by a single couple, who bore three children, who all had identical, and simultaneous near death experiences, where their souls left their bodies, and entered into the afterlife, or purgatory. However, unlike every other soul within that realm they were still alive, and not long after their bodies joined with them, and their chakra took on an essence from purgatory itself.

These three children spent nearly a year of their lives within the confines of the afterlife, discovering many wondrous abilities. When they returned home they were unharmed, and had not aged a day since they had left, but the powers they gained within the other plain remained with the children, and they could still access purgatory.

The Eldest of the three children, Isaiah, soon discovered a gateway to purgatory, one kept within the village hidden in the typhoon. This gateway was buried within the earth, hidden in a secret cave not far from the residential area of the village. Isaiah used this knowledge to base many jutsu techniques around, creating small portable versions of the gate, to allowing souls to exit purgatory, under the control of himself, or his siblings, in order to make them physically more powerful. They stored much of their knowledge in tomes created for their children, and sealed with a jutsu requiring a drop of Ban'nin blood to release it.

The three brothers discovered that their assumptions were correct, their children were also born with the same traits that they themselves had gained through their time spent in purgatory. The three brothers taught them how to use their powers, and slowly the clan began to grow. After a few generations of growth it was still considered to be a small clan, barely having twenty living members at one time. No member of the clan stood out, or excelled at anything, until the latest generation, and the birth of Tamashi, Elizabeth, and Joshua.

Name: Soul Surge

Description: No handseals, no charge up. The user opens a small gate behind themselves, and out of it comes ten souls, boosting the user physically 10%, and making their next Hitojutsu 5% more powerful. The souls remain in the body for three posts. Four post cooldown.

Description: Passive. This technique allows the user to locate and isolate separate beings souls, as well as identifying the person the soul belongs to, and how pure it is. This ability can only reach out ten meters from the user, in every direction.

Type: Hitojutsu
Description: No handseals, no charge. The user simply punches at their opponent, their own soul extending from their body to inflict harm upon the targets soul, however this also causes pain to the user. This technique amplifies the damage of the users regular punches by 10%, and leaves no visible damage on the opponent. Can be used as many times as the user wishes in a post, but can only be used every other post.

Chuunin

Name: Soul Sway

Description: Requires charge up. After charge up the user's soul moves from their body, creating a trail between the two of them. The soul can move anywhere within fifty meters, and can do anything, however it is not physical, and as such can do no harm, nor be harmed. After the two posts the soul wanders the user travels through everything the soul did, in a matter o moments. The soul can attack things, meaning that should it swing at someone's throat the user will as well when they travel to catch up to their soul. However this technique leaves the user drained afterwards, making them 10% physically weaker. This has a four post cooldown.

Description: No handseals, no charge. The user opens a miniature gate to purgatory behind themselves, releasing thirty souls all of which enter the users body, boosting them physically by 25%, and increasing any Hitojutsu used after by 10%. Lasts for four posts, six post cooldown.

Special Jounin

Description: Requires handseals. After the completion of the seals a gate opens behind the user, releasing a mass amount of souls, which all enter the users body. The user is merely a vocal point however, as the 100 souls pass through them, being fired from the centre of the chest as a beam of pure energy. This beam is able to break through brick walls without a problem, and can do serious damage if it connects, breaking limbs at minimum. Taking the full force of the attack to a vital area, such as the throat, head or direct centre of the chest can be lethal. Five post cooldown.

Description: Passive: Gives off coloured aura of the users soul. Handseals, and this aura grants the user double speed, and increases physical attacks by 50%. As well it creates a cloaked outline of the user, twice their size, which can be mentally controlled to combat enemies. It can not travel far from it's creator, and must always remain within two feet of them.

Description: Requires Charge up. After the completion of the charge up a gate to purgatory opens and a guardian of purgatory is summoned into this plane, under complete control of the user. This amount can be increased by a max of two, by using an additional ten chakra each. These beasts have the physical abilities of an average jounin, however are extremely slow and dimwitted. They will not attack anyone, but will defend their summoner until someone attacks whoever summoned the creatures. Normally they last five posts, however they can be killed, and returned to the spirit realm. Cooldown of six posts.
